# Keyboard shortcuts

Press **?** anywhere on the canvas to bring this up in the app.

On a Mac, use **Cmd** wherever this page says **Ctrl**.

## Two rules

**Single-key shortcuts are ignored while you're typing.** Type "video" in the chat and you won't trigger the text, eraser and pencil tools on the way through.

**Holding Ctrl, Cmd or Alt always passes through to the browser.** **Ctrl** **C** over a chat message copies the text, not the shape you happen to have selected. Copy, paste, reload and the rest behave exactly as they do everywhere else.
