You describe what you want; you get finished work you can keep editing. This guide covers everything the product does today. Every page is short, self-contained, and safe to skim. Start wherever your question is. --- ## How Clip works Most design tools hand you instruments and leave the work to you. Clip runs the other way around. Three ideas carry the whole product: 1. **The canvas is the document.** Generated images, video, 3D models, audio, written copy, uploads, text and frames all live on one surface. Nothing is trapped in a separate tab or an export queue. 2. **Every result stays editable.** A generated image is not a dead pixel grid. Select it and a toolbar appears: change what's in it, cut out the background, extend its edges, rewrite the text inside it, break it into layers. 3. **Do it yourself, or ask.** Drop a generator node and fill in a form, or open the chat and describe the outcome. Both put results on the same canvas in the same editable state. You never have to know which model does what. Everything else — moving, cropping, rotating, colour-correcting, aligning, laying out, exporting, version history, the whole editor — is free on every plan, including the free one. Clip always shows the exact cost on the button **before** you press it, next to a ⚡ icon.
